Disney Tips from the Travel Experts
1. Before leaving home, try to make a tentative plan, including what parks to visit on what day. Remember, you can't possible see and do it all in one vacation. Have everyone choose one attraction that they must see, and put those at the top of the list.
2. Don't stress the small stuff. Go slow, take time, experience.
3. Get an early start and take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (available to guests staying at a Disney property). By starting early you can rest at the hotel during the hottest (and most crowded) parts of the day and go back to the parks in the evening when it’s cooler. The evening hours really clear out towards the end of the night and you may not even have to get off the ride to experience it again!
4. Take advantage of Disney’s Fast Pass at select attractions. This enables you to bypass the regular line at the attraction at a later time in the day with not much of a wait. It makes your life and days less stressful since you don’t have to wait in line as much. Fast Passes do run out though, so be sure to get them early in the day.
5. Make advanced dining reservation (90 days prior) at the restaurants in the park. They book up early and this will guarantee you to have your meal in the specific location you want.
6. Eat your meals at off-peak hours -- lunch at 11:30, dinner at 4:00 -- you won't have to wait as long for your table or your food. During the usual meal time rush you can enjoy the shorter lines at the attractions.
7. Families with babies or small children should know about the “rider switch/child swap” policy at the theme parks. At attractions with height or age restrictions, a parent who waits nearby with a young child while the other parent rides the attraction can go right on when the first parent comes off.
8. Use Park Hoppers. They give you the freedom to go to whatever parks you want, whenever you want;even in the same day.
9. Staying on Disney properties makes entrance to the parks easier and quicker. Stay at the resort that is nearest the park you will visit the most. Only guests staying at Disney properties have access to the Extra Magic Hours.
10. Avoid the biggest crowds by starting at the back of the park and making your way up front. Or work your way to the left around the park -- most people will go to the right. If you are not attending any parades, take advantage of the lower crowds at some of the more popular rides.
11. If possible, visit Magic Kingdom on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The weekends are always busy with local Floridians visiting the most popular Disney theme parks, and Mondays and Fridays are steady because of people extending their weekends.
12. Try to visit while school is in session, it’s less crowded during those times.
13. Add a dining plan - if even a very basic one. You will save money and enjoy wonderful meals.
14. Use the Disney Transportation. It allows you to relax and take in the sites.
15. If traveling with children, always plan some down time to enjoy swimming or just plain relaxing at your hotel.

I always recommend that my clients plan on spending at least one day not in the parks! I know this might sound odd to some; but there is a lot to do at outside of the parks!
Explore the pool at your resort; have a nice dinner at your hotel, or at another Disney Resort. Go shopping at Downtown Disney during the day, when it's a lot quiter and not as busy. And most of all, RELAX! Enjoy the sunshine and the magic!
