Emergency Road Service: (800) AAA-HELP
insurance/personal

Personal Liability Insurance, also known as Umbrella Insurance, provides you with an added layer of protection once your primary Auto and Home Insurance coverage runs out. Personal Liability provides you the added security of knowing that you are protected in the event of an unfortunate situation.

AAA’s expert insurance agents will sit down with you to review your assets and current insurance coverage. If your insurance coverage does not match those assets, your agent may suggest a Personal Liability policy. You can be sure you, your family and your belongings are cared for when you insure with AAA.

What does personal liability or umbrella insurance cover?

Personal liability provides coverage for losses above the limit of an underlying policy such as homeowners and auto insurance. While it applies to losses over the dollar amount in the underlying policies, terms of coverage are broader than those of underlying policies.

How does it work?

Simply ask your agent about adding a personal liability (umbrella) policy for additional coverage. Your agent can also make recommendations if you are unsure what level of coverage you need.

What is the benefit of this type of insurance?

  • Covers situations that typically are not provided for under home, renters and auto policies
  • Fills in the monetary gaps after your home, auto, renters insurance exceeds the limit
  • Increases protection of your assets overall at minimal cost
